The Rebirth of the KSS Wellington Centre
On January 22nd, this year Kennards completed the purchase of a storage centre in Wellington.
Originally it was known as Downtown Self Storage, before a Storage King Franchise acquired it. After falling into receivership a few years ago saw trade under control of receivers for two years.
The property is now with its third (and final) owners; Kennards Self Storage.
The renewal and turnaround of this property is advancing quickly. First step is to give it a brand new look. The orange paint is being applied at the moment.
Blue paint will follow, then new signs.
In addition, we will be fixing the unit mix and upgrading the centre internally.
Importantly, we will also be removing the abrasive customer touch-points. Customers storing at Kennards Self Storage Wellington will not be compelled to pay reservation deposits, administration or cleaning fees and will also be returned 100% of unused rent if they move out early.
Kennards Box Shop has been added offering the full range of boxes and moving supplies for purchase by the public.
