I am pleased to advise that we have recently completed our basement conversion to provide a new floor of storage units at our Kennards Mt Eden site.
In the 2nd half of 2014, the occupancy of the centre was reaching maximum capacity and with continued steady demand from new customers, we made the decision to convert the basement parking area into more storage units. The completion of the basement floor sees the Mt Eden centre comprise of five levels of storage with over 870 units ranging in size from 1 x 1 x 1 metre right up to a 72 square metre Enterprise Space.
With new increased demand from commercial customers for flexible larger spaces, we designed the layout with larger unit sizes in the 18-36 square metre range, with internal walls that are not load supporting, so we can remove them and expand units sizes. The added convenience of lighting and power can be made available to use in the storage units.
To all business customers – remember that all our large size units are easy to rent – No Lease! No Legals! No Bond! Use for as little or long as you want.
We have also left some room in the basement to expand our wine cellars. Our Mt Eden site is proud to have the first purpose built wine storage cellars in a self storage facility in NZ, and it will not be long before we expand the cellars as continued demand to keep your wine at a steady temperature and humidity increases – watch this space.
