Liberty: noun (plural liberties)
1. The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s behaviour or political views.
Self Ownership: (or sovereignty of the individual, individual sovereignty or individual autonomy)
1. Is the concept of property in one’s own person, expressed as the moral or natural right of a person to have bodily integrity, and be the exclusive controller of his own body and life.
Neville Kennard was an uncompromising libertarian. He believed that the best way to bring the greatest wellbeing to the most number of people was by allowing individuals the greatest choice and freedom. By also letting business get on with their activities without government interference.
Government intervention inevitably results in problems.
Many of his ideas about freedom and capitalisation were captured in 65 short essays on numerous topics.
